Funding Your TreatmentPersonal Savings & Support Programs
- UK patients fund treatment abroad through a mix of personal funds, structured payment over time, and where preferred, regulated 0% medical finance.
We provide the documentation you need to pursue these routes: itemised invoices and treatment letters.
How Do British Patients Typically Fund Treatment?
Most British patients combine more than one funding route rather than relying on a single source, and how you fund treatment is entirely your decision. Our role is to give you accurate, itemised paperwork so that whichever route you use, you have the records it requires.
Nothing on this page is tax or financial advice. Where a UK funding route is mentioned, we describe the general mechanism only and point you to the authority that can confirm your specific position.

What Funding Routes Are Available for Treatment Abroad?
Three routes cover most cases: personal funds set aside over time, regulated 0% medical finance, and personal savings vehicles or a personal loan. Each is set out below, along with where to confirm your specific position.
Personal funds. Many patients draw on personal funds set aside for the treatment. "Savings" here means your own money, planned for over time, not a discount on the fee. Tax-efficient savings such as an ISA can be a natural source. Planning the funding alongside the payment structure (see our payment plans guide) lets you spread when the funds are needed across the treatment stages.
0% medical finance. Where you would prefer to spread the cost rather than pay upfront, regulated UK medical-finance providers such as Tabeo, Chrysalis Finance, or a personal loan / 0% medical finance arrangement let you pay in instalments. Terms, eligibility, and interest depend on the provider and your circumstances.
Personal savings vehicles. Some patients fund treatment by drawing on existing savings or a personal loan. Private dental treatment is not typically tax-deductible in the UK and is not generally NHS-funded, so the funding sits outside both. Conditions and any tax consequences depend on your individual circumstances.
For any of these, confirm your eligibility and the current terms with the provider or a qualified financial / tax professional before relying on them. We cannot determine your financial or tax position.

What Documentation Do You Provide for Funding Claims?
We provide itemised invoices, treatment letters, and records on request from your ten-year open file, per clinic records, to support whichever funding route you pursue.
- Itemised invoices. The line-by-line breakdown of what was provided (implants, abutments, prosthetics, lab fees, follow-ups), matching your treatment quote.
- Treatment letters. A written summary of the care delivered, dates, and clinical context, suitable for submission to a finance provider or insurer.
- Records on request. Supporting documentation drawn from your ten-year open file, available throughout that period.
These documents describe what was done and what it cost. Whether a given finance provider or insurer accepts them, and what you can claim, is determined by that provider. Confirm with them or with a qualified professional.

Coordination & Next Steps
If you are planning your funding, you can request the documentation above at any stage. We will issue itemised invoices and a treatment letter that reflect your actual care. We do not advise on which funding route to use or on your tax position. That conversation belongs with your finance provider, HMRC, or your financial professional, and we are happy to provide whatever records they ask for.

Why Us
Frequently Asked Questions
How can UK patients fund dental treatment abroad?
UK patients typically combine personal funds, payment spread across treatment stages, and where preferred, regulated 0% medical finance such as Tabeo or Chrysalis Finance. We supply itemised invoices and treatment letters to support these routes, but we do not determine eligibility or guarantee any financial outcome.
Can I claim treatment received abroad on my UK taxes?
Private medical and dental treatment is not typically tax-deductible in the UK, and overseas private dental treatment is not generally NHS-funded. If you have a specific tax question, confirm it with HMRC or a qualified tax professional before relying on any expectation of relief.
What documents do you give me for a finance or insurance claim?
We provide itemised invoices matching your quote and a written treatment letter summarising the care, dates, and clinical context. We can also supply supporting records from your ten-year open file. Whether a finance provider or insurer accepts these is decided by that provider.
Does "savings" mean a discount on the price?
No. On this page "savings" means your own personal funds set aside for treatment. It is not a discount, a reduced fee, or a price comparison. Your quote is itemised and stands on its own. --- Compare Our Approach → | Is Stunning Right for Me? →
